FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

We publish this FAQ to provide you with some guidelines that make inquires easier to enable us to respond more quickly. This guide is based on our own repair and purchasing experience. Adhering to these guidelines will help to expedite the offer process.

It would be the easiest to identify your part, if you know the OEM part number* for that part. We realize it’s not easy to find the OEM part numbers which are not to be confused with the manufacturer part number.

Hydraulic pumps, motors, power train elements:

When you are inquiring for pump, motor, transmission, axle spare parts it’s essential that you provide all the information from the units data plate (OEM data plate) and not the machine's data plate. In case of Meiller Kipper parts, we always need the info from the data plate which has the Meiller logo on it or the data plate that is mounted on a Meiller branded unit. These plates contain model code, serial number and other important data which enables us to identify the unit in question and provide the right parts for it. A good quality photo of the OEM data plate is always welcome, it eliminates any misunderstanding regarding it’s contents.

Hydraulic cylinders:

When hydraulic cylinders are concerned we must make a distinction between industrial and mobile cylinders.
Industrial cylinders almost every time have a data plate, so we require the info from this plate, also if you know the part number for your seal kit it’s also a good idea to provide it so we can double check it.

A mobile cylinder usually does not hold a data plate because it’s a part of the whole machine, therefore its seal kit is covered in the machine's spare part catalogue. In this case if you know the seal kit part number it is very welcome because this is the most certain way to identify the seal kit you need.

After reading these guidelines, do not worry if you don’t have much information on what you need, contact us and we will do our best to identify and get your part.

Coils:

The failure of coils of electronically operated valves is a common problem on mobile machinery therefore we keep a large variety of coils on stock from several manufacturers.
When inquiring for coils, please state every data that is on the coil, also if possible provide coil dimensions, terminal style, operating current, and power.

* - The difference between OEM and machine manufacturer part numbers are that the OEM assigns one part number for a certain part, but any machine manufacturer who uses that unit and that part assigns their own part number which differs every time.
